Fabulous Welshcakes

Fabulous Welsh Cakes! Can anything beat the taste of a simple, freshly baked, crumbly, buttery welsh cake?

At our small Fabulous Welsh Cakes bakery, we take immense pride in what we do.

We only bake welsh cakes and we strive for perfection, so our speciality welsh cakes are handmade in small batches, from the best natural ingredients and cooked in the traditional way—on a cast iron griddle.

Joe's Ice Cream logo

Joe's Ice Cream

Joe’s story starts in the Abruzzi Mountains in Italy, where he was born and raised until he was old enough to join his father in Swansea.

Joe’s father owned a string of coffee shops which sold rich roasted coffee to early morning dock workers. Joe was given ownership of the café at 85, St. Helen’s Road.

As a passionate ice cream lover, Joe Cascarini sought to add a truly Italian flair to the Welsh cafes, and following a secret recipe from his home in Italy, he sourced the finest ingredients in Wales and introduced to Swansea his unique tasting signature ice cream.

Famous for our fresh vanilla, Joe’s secret recipe, is truer to an Italian fresh gelato, than ice cream.

Quantum Coffee Roasters Logo

Quantum Coffee Roasters

We are Quantum AKA Dimitris, Katia and our young daughter (The boss of everything and possibly future Quantum roastmaster). This is a family venture and as a couple, we share the same passions; this includes all things coffee and this is how Quantum Coffee Roasters began its journey back in May 2015, as a combination coffee roastery and coffee house. Our coffee house, set in the heart of Cardiff Bay opened its doors in November 2015. Our interest and passion for coffee has always been there and this was a venture that has been a vision we both have been wanting to realise since we met 18 years ago.

Creditsafe

The Norwegian Church Arts Centre is extremely thankful to Creditsafe for their continued support and ‘backstage’ marketing, finance and HR assistance, without them it would have been a very challenging and difficult proposition to ensure that the Norwegian Church was set on a well-thought-through and positive path to success. Diolch.

Thanks... Diolch... Takk...

We’d like to say a big thank you to all of our funders, without whom we really wouldn’t be here.

The Norwegian Church Arts Centre would not have re-opened if it were not for the backing and the generosity of our funders; we are enormously grateful for the grants awarded to us.

We’re very grateful and just wanted to say a big “thank you, diolch and takk”.

Here’s some information about the organisations who have encouraged and joined us on our pilgrimage to re-open the Norwegian Church Arts Centre.

Digital Donations

How could we forget to thank the most important people of all? You, of course.

We want to say a heartfelt… Diolch yn fawr.

Your financial contributions, however big or small and your unequivocal support of the Norwegian Church Arts Centre and all its activity is invaluable. You’re all awesome.

As you may know, we’re now a cashless venue, and accept contactless and card payments only… so, in a bid to help you continuously and generously donate funds to help the Norwegian Church charitable aims of developing creatively and embed ourselves back into this extraordinary community, we’ve installed an Electronic Donation Box in the Cafe.

To donate is really easy, with clear, easy to follow on-screen instructions – but if you want some assistance, ask a member of staff – we’re more than happy to help.
